In 1939 a Technicolor tale of a whirling tornado and a ragtag crew’s adventure to get home captured the imagination of the world. Trippy, surreal, and heavy on symbolism, The Wizard of Oz remains one of the most celebrated musical fantasies in film history. To commemorate a cinema milestone, Nike SB focuses its lens on the film’s iconic poppy field scene, transforming the silhouette of the SB Dunk Low Pro into a floral pastiche of allegory and imagination.
Using a unique “hydro dipped” printing technique and nubuck materials throughout the upper, the Wizard of Oz Dunk revisits Dorothy’s journey with satin finishes, a leather Swoosh and backtab, and a lush red translucent outsole. Doubling down on nostalgia, the Wizard of Oz Dunk Low comes with two sets of custom sock liners, each thematically paired with the vibrant poppy aesthetics and smokey special effects of the beloved film.
