An early pre-SB program model that was offered in both mid and low, the Nike Air Lien was very much a shoe of its time (1996) but also hinted at the innovation that would define SB. The split leather upper had an almost ACG-esque aesthetic that offered partial lace cover protection and design intended to limit wear while the Phylon midsole and Heel Air-Sole offered comfort and shock absorption without bulk.
