Every skate shop is a reflection of the community that makes it thrive. Since 2005, Familia Skate Shop has become Minneapolis, Minnesota’s identity and hub for skateboarding through its indoor park and collaborative events throughout the Twin Cities. Like Familia, First Ave nightclub defines Minneapolis culture, providing a launching pad for the city’s rich music scene for over 50 years.
Inspired by the venue’s iconic aesthetics and its synergy with skateboarding’s creativity and independent drive, the First Ave Dunk Low gives the footwear icon star billing with Midwest heritage and soul. Drawing from First Ave’s brick facade, the Dunk Low features brick-textured overlays, reflective purple materials, star iconography, a translucent star pattern sole, as well as three lace options. Finished with a First Ave branded sock-liner, featuring artwork inspired by the venue’s recognizable ticket stubs, the First Ave Dunk Low headlines a homage to the Midwest’s music Mecca.
The First Ave Dunk Low releases exclusively in US skateshops December 11th.
